South Orange Will See Killing Freeze, Possible Snow This Week

Snow, frost are predicted for the area

As early Friday night, South Orange could see what meterologists describe as a "killing frost." Two weather systems heading east will bring cold weather and the possibility of flurries, according to Accuweather.

Could this mean that locals will face another Halloween ice storm? Last year's storm closed schools for two days and made for challenging trick-or-treating.

It's possible. Experts predict a "wild" winter for the Northeast, including higher than average snowfall. For the record, the New York City average is 25.3 inches annually.
