Seton Hall Offers Ways to Help After Sandy

The President's Office has released a list of possibilities

From Seton Hall, opportunities to help after Sandy:

Last week, Hurricane Sandy left an indelible mark on this region. With a death toll of over 100, widespread destruction of personal property, significant damage to our transportation infrastructure, power outages and more have caused untold misery and suffering. The effects of Hurricane Sandy are still being felt by members of our Seton Hall Community and by those we love.  Many of our neighbors lost everything.  Let us respond generously in empathy, beginning now.

I call on members of the Seton Hall community to be part of our efforts to help our brothers and sisters during this time of need. I have asked DOVE to coordinate our efforts.

These are just some ways that you can help:

Material Assistance

From Monday, November 5 to Friday, November 30, 2012, donation of materials goods can be made to the Division of Volunteer Efforts (DOVE) by visiting the office in Boland Hall, Room 108, or by placing them in the drop boxes located in the residence halls.  These goods will be distributed through the agency of Catholic Charities of Newark or Croatian Relief Services of Fairview.  The goods needed are paper towels, bath towels, wipes, bleach, diapers, soap, laundry detergent, toothbrushes, toothpaste, water, peanut butter, and other non-perishable food items (canned goods, pasta, rice, cereal and coffee).
