S.O. Resident Dionne Warwick Among California's Top 10 Delinquent Taxpayers
Warwick owes California nearly $2.2 million in back taxes.
South Orange resident Dionne Warwick owes the state of California nearly $2.2 million in taxes, with a lien dating back to 1999, according to information released by the state's Franchise Tax Board on Thursday.
The total owed by Warwick is down from $2.7 million in 2007.
"[Warwick] has worked out a payment arrangement, which has already been put into motion," said her spokesman, Kevin Sasaki, in an e-mail.

Though Warwick's career often keeps her on the road—she has a show in Dallas on Saturday—she's still deeply rooted in South Orange, according to Sasaki.
"She spends as much time there as her very busy touring schedule allows," he said.
