South Orange Gives Good Garage Sale

Anyone who loves a good bargain should circle Saturday, May 14 on their calendars.  That day, nearly 100 homes will be participating in the first ever South Orange Village-Wide Garage Sale.

The garage sales will take place at various homes around town between 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – look for the orange balloons and signs! 

“Every established South Orange neighborhood association is participating,” said Jill Mendelsohn, the coordinator of the event.  The associations include Seton Village, Upper Wyoming, South Mountain, Newstead, Tuxedo Park, Village Colonials and Montrose Park.  Some individual homeowners also are taking part.

Local merchants are joining in on the fun with special one-day-only "Garage Sale Day Coupons.”  The businesses include , , , , , , , , , and .

Maps and coupon sheets are available at Town Hall or at the houses on the day of the sale.  Also, information about individual sales will be posted on Maplewood Online and Craig’s List (http://gsalr.com/garage-sales-south-orange-nj.html).
