A tribute to Jerry Kaplan who passed away on May 8th. A prominent figure in the field of education, Kaplan coauthored several elementary school textbooks and published short fiction and articles in Commentary, The New York Times, The Jewish News, The News-Record of Maplewood and South Orange, and other journals.
