Pope John XXIII and the Jews

In honor of the upcoming canonization of Popes John XXIII and John Paul II, the Institute of Judaeo-Christian Studies is sponsoring the lecture, Pope John XXIII and the Jews, by Rabbi David Dalin, Ph.D. at Seton Hall University on March 30, 2014.

A widely-published scholar of American Jewish History and Catholic-Jewish relations, Rabbi Dalin is Professor of History at Ave Maria University in Florida. He received his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley, his M.A. and Ph.D. from Brandeis University and his Rabbinical Ordination, and a second M.A., from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York.

Rabbi Dalin also serves on the Advisory Council of the journal First Things and is the author, co-author or editor of eleven books, including The Myth of Hitler’s Pope: How Pope Pius XII Rescued Jews from the Nazis and John Paul II and the Jewish People: A Jewish-Christian Dialogue.
