On Thursday October 24th, The BBN Foundation, founded by Dr.
Anthony Orsini, hosted its inaugural gala “The Moment of Compassionate Truth”
to raise funds in order to promote education on compassionate communication
between healthcare professionals, patients, and families.
The gala was hosted at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West
Orange, New Jersey and was a huge success. Guests enjoyed a night full of
entertainment, food, and a silent auction with fabulous items to take home at
the end of the night; such as weekend getaways, shopping gift cars, and sports
memorabilia from the NY Jets and the NY Yankees. Two-time world traveler and
motivational speaker, Scott Chesney, was invited to speak at the event and Dr.
Orisini and Dr. Mary Ann LoFrumento presented an award to the Atlantic Health
System recognizing them as a “BBN Center of Excellence for Compassionate
Communication in Healthcare.” Dr. Walter Rosenfeld, Chairman of Pediatrics at
Goryeb Children’s Hospital, accepted the award on behalf of Atlantic Health
System and expressed his full support for the foundation.
