Walia Ethiopian Restaurant to host 1 year anniversary All-You-Can-Eat Ethiopian Buffet
Walia Ethiopian Restaurant, a family-owned
restaurant in Essex County, New Jersey, that specializes in authentic Ethiopian
cuisine, will host its first all-you-can-eat buffet on Saturday, March 1st ,
2014 in celebration of their one year anniversary.
Shewaye Yassin, one of two Ethiopian sisters who own Walia Restaurant, are very excited to celebrate their first anniversary with family, friends and restaurant patrons. “When you visit Walia we want you to feel as part of our family and experience an authentic Ethiopian cuisine. We are so honored to share more than Ethiopian food with our community, but also our culture. We are always happy to answer any questions that curious customers might have.”
A sharing of the Ethiopian culture is part of the charm of this intimate, cultural and very unique restaurant, located at 11 Village Plaza in the heart of downtown South Orange, New Jersey, just around the corner from South Orange Performing Arts Center.
This will be the first buffet at their restaurant since their successful grand opening event and buffet in 2013. To celebrate this special event the restaurant will feature a fully catered all you can eat buffet spread.
The all you can eat buffet menu will include azifa (lentil salad) & ingudai tibs (portobello mushrooms) appetizers, shrimp tibs, doro wat (chicken), doro tibs (chicken), yebeg aletcha (mild lamb stew) Kay Watt (spicy beef stew).
Vegetarian (vegan) dishes served that will be offered at the buffet, include gomen (mixed greens), tikile gomen (cabbage, carrot and potatoes), miser wat (split lentils), miser aletcha (mild split lentils), and tofu tibs.
The March 1st Anniversary Celebration and all you can eat buffet event will have 3 seatings at 5, 7 and 9 pm and reservations are required. Price for the all you can eat buffet is $25/person plus tax & gratuity.
