Suzuki Violin Lessons and Middle School Orchestra

South Orange-Maplewood School District's Fine Arts department and the Adult School offer Suzuki Violin Lessons for beginners and Middle School Honors Orchestra.

Suzuki Violin Lessons
For the third year, the South Orange-Maplewood School District's Fine Arts department and the Adult School are excited to offer violin lessons to elementary school children. The lessons will be given by highly experienced teachers using the revolutionary Suzuki method of instruction. Classes for beginners will start during the week of January 14 and will culminate in June with a concert for family and friends. Classes are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting at 4:00pm and on Saturday mornings. Tuition is $300 for seventeen lessons, and scholarships are available for children enrolled in the district's free lunch program. Middle School Honors Orchestra
The Adult School and Michelle Hatcher of the South Orange-Maplewood School District's music department are introducing a new after-school orchestra program for middle school musicians. The orchestra will be under Ms. Hatcher's direction, and will include concerts in March and June for family and friends. Tuition is $320 for twenty lessons starting on January 8. Scholarships are available for children enrolled in the district's free lunch program. Please call the Adult School at (973) 378-7620 for further information.
