Police have arrested a Newark teen they say was responsible for the armed robbery of two Seton Hall University students in September.
“The victims stated that they were approached from behind by two black males and a black female who brandished a black handgun and demanded both victim's cell phones and wallets,” police said.
They were described as being in their late teens, having thin builds with one male wearing a white shirt, the other male actor wearing a dark sweatshirt with short hair and the female was described as wearing all black.
Police determined through their investigation that Sharodd Graham, 19, of Newark robbed two Seton Hall students at gunpoint while they were walking on Gardner Ave. around 11 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, according to a police report.
Graham was arrested in Plainfield without incident and transported to South Orange Police headquarters where he was processed, police said.
Police did not release further information regarding the two others allegedly involved in the incident but said “the investigation by the Detective Bureau is continuing at this time.”
