South Orange police issue reminder to assist in stolen item recovery.

South Orange police have announced the arrest of four Irvington residents who were allegedly involved in a daytime burglary of a Glenview Road home in January, police officials said.

Shakee Clemmons, 19, and Elijah Mix, 19, along with two juveniles, were arrested Jan. 15 at approximately 6 p.m. after a joint South Orange and Newark police investigation determined they allegedly forced their way through a window and back porch of the home earlier in the day and took an undisclosed amount of jewelry and electronics.

South Orange police issued the following reminder:
South Orange police remind all village residents to take every possible precaution to safeguard not just their homes and vehicles, but also their electronics. Most personal electronics, police said, have the ability to be located through specific applications. However, police said they have found on several occasions owners of these electronics must have the applications activated by the owner. South Orange police are encouraging all residents to take the time to activate the applications to further safeguard the property and help police in the investigation and possible recovery of the items.
