Police Blotter: Bike Thefts at Train Station

Wednesday, June 2:

• A 2007 Land Rover parked in a Turrell Avenue driveway was burglarized overnight, and a phone charger, Louis Vuitton bag, Kodak camcorder and MacBook Pro laptop were reported stolen. There was no sign of forced entry into the vehicle, but the owner reported that the car had been locked.
• (From Maplewood's police blotter) Kenneth Barno, 47, of East Orange, was arrested on six outstanding warrants from South Orange. He was arrested near the Maplewood Train Station and transported to South Orange police headquarters.

Friday, June 4:

• Two bicycles left parked at the rack under the South Orange train station were reported stolen.

Sunday, June 6:

• A painter working on the exterior of a Vose Avenue building reported that he left his 24-foot extension ladder at the work site overnight, and it was missing on Sunday morning.
