Church Window Broken in Burglary Attempt

First Presbyterian and Trinity Church broken into, but nothing appeared taken.

Police are searching for intruders who forced their way into the First Presbyterian and Trinity Church on Irvington Avenue.

Officers were called to the church at about 5:20 p.m. Monday, after a resident reported the apparent break-in.

The officers found entry had been gained by breaking an office window on the first floor.

Police did not find anyone in the church and nothing was taken, they said.

The detective bureau is investigating the incident.
