Police: South Orange Juveniles Assaulted and Robbed

Five teens threaten young South Orange residents with a gun.

Three young South Orange residents were assaulted and robbed by a group of teens on Monday, Nov. 4, police said.

The trio was walking on Valley Street near the Pathmark around 11 p.m. when they were assaulted by five black males, all in their teens, according to a police report.

One of the five teens threatened to use a gun but no gun was observed, police said.

They then ran South on Valley Street before fleeing in a nearby parked car with the victims cell phones.

The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
