South Orange Man Beaten By Five Men

A South Orange man was beaten by five men while walking home from his apartment on Sunday, police said.

The resident was walking home to his apartment in the area of South Orange Ave. around 2 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8 when he was assaulted from behind by five men, according to a South Orange Police report.

Three of the men were described as white males and the other two were black males, police said.

The victim said that the men called out his name as they were punching and kicking him, the report said.

“There were no items taken for the victim during the assault,” police said.
