Cory Booker, Stephen Colbert Are "Hot in Jersey"

The Mayor of Newark appeared on the Montclair resident's show, The Colbert Report

Newark Mayor Cory Booker was once Montclair resident Stephen Colbert's "threat to America," when he described America's diversity as "delicious."  Recently Booker was "Alpha Dog of the week," according to the host of the Colbert Report, for pulling a woman from a burning building.

"Am I on fire?" asked the host.

"In New Jersey," replied Booker, "you are hot."

"Mazel, baby, mazel," said Colbert.

Booker spoke at length about his online activism project Waywire.  Waywire, often seen in print as #waywire, is a video social network "dedicated to giving young people a voice about the issues that matter to you most."

Booker, who co-founded Waywire with Nathan Richardson and Sarah Ross says the new site is for people "passionate about issues." Booker said Wayire "gives everyone a chance to contribute to the dialogue."
