Paving Work Has Begun at Baird
The week of August 16th will see resurfaced tennis courts and repaved parking; plan accordingly
Work began early Monday morning for the planned work on the Baird parking lot and tennis courts. The parking lot at Baird Community Center will be closed the week of Aug.16 for construction. In addition, the tennis courts at the Baird will be closed from Aug. 16 until approximately Sept. 15 depending on weather.
The parking lot itself will be re-paved and new curbing is being installed. Residents using the recreational facilities are encouraged to park on Meadowbrook Lane and cross the new footbridge to the Baird. Parking will be available on Vose Avenue, as well.
The tennis courts are being repaired, resurfaced and color coated, and new tennis post sleeves will be installed. Some needed fencing repairs will also be made. The courts will be closed for at least three weeks, but the Cameron and Farrell Tennis courts can be reserved at the Baird.
