Village President Appears on POLITICO Pro Panel

On Thursday, September 12, Village President Alex Torpey participated in a POLITICO Pro panel on The Future of the Internet.

Torpey was joined on the panel by Former U.S. Senator John Sununu, Cisco Systems President Robert Lloyd and Zipcar CEO Mark Norman. Moderated by Politico's Mike Allen & Eric Engleman, the panel featured lively conversation about a range of internet issues including the "share economy", government regulation of the Internet, wearable technology, and more.

Torpey also got to speak of some of the issues that are most pressing to him including facilitating open government data and it's applications, smarter emergency preparedness through technology and data, creating a space for a new generation of leaders in our democracy.
