Well, this retired educator from dear ole' CHS is happy to learn about this PR aspect. As the former Supervisor/Head Librarian, I *always* give positive details about that great place. Info tidbit - the CHS Library IS the largest high school library east of the Mississippi! The original main structure (aka A-wing) had its floor plan placed in the 1927 Encyclopedia Britannica as an example of ideal structure for a school. Also, The Hall of Fame is tremendous and the school has numerous alumni who are household names around the nation!! Thus, with almost no other exception, CHS is a place every student should be happy in and SO/Mpl is a place that all parents would be pleased in which to reside!

Well, the SOMSD is a great place. Just speaking the truth. Hence, my comment was based on real facts not 'mere' emotion. Though, of course, emotions are a part as I do deeply feel that CHS is an astounding institution for one and all.

The facts as stated can be viewed from multiple perspective - CHS is mainstay of the community and every effort should be made to preserve this iconic lynchpin.
