This afternoon, as the rain started to fall, over two dozen geese felt that it just wasn't the right weather to be playing in the on Mead Street. So they went looking for cover, and found it across the street, under a tree.
One-by-one, in front of beleaguered motorists, 27 geese took the long trek across the road.

So now we know the answer. The next time someone asks; "why did the goose (or other squawking bird) cross the road?", you can now answer "because its dry under the tree."
