School Board Reorganization in the Week Ahead

After a long holiday break, both Maplewood and South Orange are starting to get back into the swing of things for the new year.

SOMA Board of Education Meeting/Reorganization

The South Orange and Maplewood Board of Education will hold its reorganization on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

The decision was made by the Board of Education to reschedule the annual reorganization meeting from Thursday to Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The scheduling change was made due to administrative reasons, according to district officials.

At the meeting, election winners Johanna Wright and Stephanie Lawson-Muhammad will be sworn into their new roles on the SOMA Board of Education. Board of Education member David R. Giles 2nd Vice President Lynne E. Crawford will be stepping down.
