This is a TASTE OF JAMAICA. I am a Jamaican native and when I feel too lazy to cook, I go to J&J for a taste of home. The oxtail is DELICIOUS (and there seems to be a meticulous care taken to remove almost all the excess fat [no small feat for anyone familiar with unctuous oxtail]). Rice and peas are DELICIOUS and I can tell made authentically with coconut milk. Brown stewed chicken is wonderful too.
Surprisingly the beef patties seem to be the main draw whenever I'm there but they aren't that noteworthy to my taste buds (kind of run-0f-the-mill; can get something similar at Golden Krust). Still just about everything else is mouth-wateringly delicious, the only problem is often they run out of entrees if I get there too late.
