The South Orange college preparatory school for young women is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth and was founded in 1935. Marylawn's mission is to prepare, motivate and challenge young women intellectually and morally, empowering them to assume roles of leadership in our ever-changing world. Under the leadership of Principal Christine Lopez, Marylawn continues its tradition of proud women by providing excellence in education through a personalized learning environment where each student is encouraged to bring forth her unique talents and abilites. Marylawn will graduate 40 students in the Class of 2010, who boast an impressive $3 million in merit-based aid for college, an average of $75,000 per student. Marylawn of the Oranges hosts a middle and high school program from 7th to 12th grade. Annual tuition for the middle school and high school are $5,500 and $8,300 a year respectively. Scholarships and financial aid are available and are determined on merit, financial need and performance on the Co-Op entrance exam.
