Sometimes we become complacent with what we are comfortable with, and while yes the staff was certainly nice to their customers and knew everyone who came through the door, I am accustomed to a much higher level of professionalism in any salon I go to. I have never seen a manager or "owner" as M. Goldberg says he is sit behind the reception desk with their feet on the desk. I'm glad Mr. Goldberg has a good impression of this place and is comfortable with it I will stick with what I am comfortable with and choose professionalism and quality of a cut and style over convenience and being "treated like family".

Tabitha's Salon Take Over needs to take over this salon. The metal ceiling may be about the only thing impressive here. The manager acts like he has ADHD, lounging behind the desk with his feet propped...cutting hair while sitting on a stool and sliding around on it. All of the stylists are using outdated processes...definitely stuck in the 80's! I will never return it was the most disappointing salon visit I've ever had. This place is lacking everything professionalism, style and a good cleaning crew. It looks as though no one has taken a mop to the corners in years.
I couldn't disagree more with the "review" from B. Wallers. The owner, Phil, is a fantastic guy and seems to treat all of his customers like family. I have been a loyal customer for quite some time and couldn't say enough enough good things about this long-time S.O. business.

Feet on the desk don't bother me, but everybody has to go where they find satisfaction. I've gone to Moods in Hair for over a decade, gotten great hair and beard styling/cuts, and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. Phil's a great guy and does a great job, and the one other haircutter who worked on me was also professional and skilled.
