South Orange Middle School
973-378-2772
South Orange's public middle school is in an Art Deco building that houses grades 6-8. The principal for the past 11 years is Kirk E. Smith. There's an All-School Musical staged every spring; this year's production will be "Oklahoma!" Some statistics are taken from the 2006-2007 school report card, where standardized test scores are available.
The auditorium, Sterling Hall, is used by the South Orange Symphony and rented out to other organizations as well. The school's Little Theater seats 100 and is used for smaller-scale performances.
