Continuously erratic service. Always excuses but no change from the general manager. I always choose private (Fedex/UPS) when that's an option, if the item has any value. Maddeningly unreliable. Twice trackable items were recorded as delivered to my address when they were not so delivered. Mail is consistently *not* held when order is put in.

South Orange Post Office is clearly struggling in these rough economic times. As far as delivery is concerned, it is erratic and careless. The temporary carriers are often better and more conscientious than the old timers. Our mail is frequently not delivered, sopping wet, and damaged beyond being able to be read. It could be a passport, a magazine, or just plain junk mail--we consider it a tangible victory if service is rendered responsibly.
