COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL

  • The school has ninth through 12th graders.
  • There were 1,926 students enrolled in 2006-2007.
  • Assistant principals are Michael Healy (9th and 10th grades) and Janice McGowan (11th and 12th grades).
  • School hours are 7:25 a.m. to 3:01 p.m.; 4-hour days are 7:25 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.
  • To report a child's absence, lateness or need for early dismissal, 9th and 10th grade parents should call the dean's office at 973-762-5600, ext. 1126 before 9 a.m. 11th and 12th grade parents should call 973-762-5600, ext. 1125. They must also submit a note to the dean when their child returns to school.
  • The high school has an alternative program at the Montrose School, 365 Clark St., South Orange.

MARYLAWN OF THE ORANGES

  • It's an all-girls Catholic school sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth.
  • The school has ninth through 12th graders.
  • The Class of 2008 had 41 graduates.
  • Tuition for the 2008-2009 school year for incoming freshmen and transfer students was $6,750.
  • The Parents Association (PA) meets in the school cafeteria on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm.
