The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) is a world-class performing arts space in the middle of South Orange,More featuring music, theater, dance and comedy.  In addition to entertainment events, the Center hosts a variety of performing arts education programs including, Performances for Schools, ArtWorks, New Jersey Youth Theatre, TADA! Youth Theater and Lydia Johnson Dance. The facility's loft and theater are available to rent for private functions. There is also a Clearview Cinemas on the ground floor. SOPAC opened in November 2006 and is located next to the South Orange train station and has its own lot, which is used for commuter permit parking during the day. 
Duck Pond

The duck pond is adjacent to South Orange Middle School, off Ridgewood Road. Ducks and Canadian geese can be seen there.More Off to the side is a shaded area with bocce courts and horseshoes. Famed sculptor Tony Smith's "TAU" was just installed at the intersection of Ridgewood Road and Mead Street.
Flood's Hill

Flood's Hill is just down Ridgewood Road from South Orange Middle School , route: {:action=>"show",More :controller=>"listings", :id=>"south-orange-middle-school"} -->and the Duck Pond. It's used for sledding after a heavy snowfall in the winter. Public art exhibits have been installed at Flood's Hill. Concerts and theatrical productions are staged at the foot of the hill (along Meadowbrook Lane) in the summer.
