Library cards are available to South Orange residents with one form of identification that includes their address. Children can obtain library cards as soon as they're able to print their full names. Melissa Kopecky is the librarian.
The Conservancy is dedicated to preserving the South Mountain Reservation and has volunteers who focus on trash…More pick-up and erosion control. For ecological reasons, the Conservancy supports the deer hunt, and members have spoken at public meetings to advocate continuing it. Conservancy members also lead hikes in the Reservation.
A waterproof map of the Reservation created by the Conservancy is now available at the South Orange, Maplewood and Millburn libraries, as well as some local stores, for $4.
