Show Some Love for HK Project's Scholarship Program
Event will raise money to help send a talented local student to college.
HK Project will host a Valentine's Day fundraiser to support its Scholarship Fund on Friday, Feb. 22 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Maplewood Tennis Club ("The Little Club"). This is the first year that HK has hosted a fundraiser solely for the scholarship program. "The program is a very important part of HK and we would really like the community's support," said Executive Director Amy Jo Curran. The evening will include music by local band 3rd Gear, appetizers and desserts and drinks (a cash bar). HK Project Scholarship Program awards a high school senior, who lives in Maplewood or South Orange, a $5,000 scholarship to be used for an undergraduate degree at the college of his or her choice.
