ReplyIt essentially means "per housing unit". In other words, a single family house is assessed $25, a 2 family house is assessed $50 etc.

ReplyI was honored to act as a reference for Michael when he was interviewing last Fall and am thrilled that he landed on his feet so quickly. I wish nothing but the best of success to Mr. B and hope he can accomplish even half as much as he did to improve SOPAC and South Orange. "Break a Leg", Michael!

ReplyTom - I was simply sharing the report given by the Chair of the Committee. If/when the BOT is to vote on this, I will have additional information. In the meantime, you may want to email Trustee Levison (hlevison@southorange.org) or the Village Administrator (blewis@southorange.org) if you want more details.

On the article South Orange Told to "Step Up" in CCR Funding

ReplyLast year it was "pony up". This year it is "step up". It's unfortunate that once again Maplewood is inserting itself into South Orange's budget decisions. South Orange made a decision on this topic based on our own criteria and feedback from residents. I respect Maplewood's decisions to spend their taxpayer's money they way they choose and I expect they will respect ours.

ReplyHappy to help...but of course the thanks goes to DPW for taking care of this. In the future, don't assume something has already been reported. As they say, "if you see something, say something". :)
