Mike Madden graduated from West Orange High School in 2009 and is entering his sophomore year at Fordham University, majoring in communications and media studies with a concentration in journalism with a minor in visual arts with a concentration in photography. 

While at Fordham, he was a staff writer for Fordham's newspaper, The Observer. While writing for The Observer, Mike was able to to cultivate his writing ability even further thanks to a very supportive group of students and professors. During his time at The Observer, Mike has written stories about the Alvin Ailey Dance School in Manhattan, interviewed comedian and actor Matt Murphy and also interviewed the rock band MGMT for Fordham's Spring Weekend.
