ReplyApple store? Barcade? Open-air market? Beer Garden? Benihana? One thing I'd be against is reserved parking for any particular business/housing that moves in.

ReplyDictating decor -- the sign -- and dictating use of the property -- providing a plaza -- are dictating use of the property. I believe I read it carefully. All future plans for the property will have to include references to this sign and plaza. That sounds like dictating use to me....oh, no, can't put the parking slot there, that's where the women's club plaza is...what about over there...no, that has their sign....Either the city owns it without restrictions or the city doesn't own it at all.

ReplySo, wait, now it costs a little more and the club gets to dictate its use? I'm so honored as a resident that I get to keep paying for the club that refused to pay taxes.

ReplySo, it's a difficult year but the city NEEDS to buy that ridiculous house? Oh, no worry, just raise those taxes. No need to live with the city's means when there are houses to buy.

ReplyMoronic; just moronic.....you scream and shout that you need higher taxes then decide you need some generator you don't need and now you buy a house you don't need. If you have a million dollars to spend, why do you need more taxes? Oh, you need more taxes because you don't have a million dollars to spend! Moronic! Can't wait to hear how you brilliantly deal with the post office...oh, wasn't some mention of too many tattoo parlors? Maybe the same consultant advised you on this deal....

Separate but equal has only ever worked out for those on the slightly more equal side. I would be as fine with civil unions across the board as I am with marriage across the board. The problem is that people understand and respect what a marriage is while civil unions are currently considered second-class designations for second-class relationships. After all, how could the love between two men or two women ever equal that of a man and a woman?

ReplyChristie has shown by his veto of marriage equality that he is only in office to serve the religious right. Hopefully, he will never be president. No one voted to allow him to marry his wife. No one voted to allow him to claim his son as his own. However, he expects to hold a vote on the same for many families in this state. I will be very happy when he is kicked to the curb.

On the article Judge: Complaint Against St. James Gate Bartender Should Move Forward

ReplyThis story fails to clarify the relationship between the owner and the accused. With the same last name, it's unlikely he's just a bartender. You should clarify. Also, the owner has tried to downplay this incident in his statement, preferring to ramble on about the pub's anniversary.
